Cardboard, a gantry, and the H bridge.

So we made our own xyz bots from the kits. Now Ben showed us how to make our own xyz bots WITHOUT the kits.

Using free US postal cardboard boxes that Ben perforated and cut using a laser cutter, Amber and I assembled our own gantry successfully.

My takeaway from this was basically to understand when the couplers and shafts have to go in to secure a strong hold of the rod.

In the next class, Ben taught us how to make the board controllers for these we created by hand.

We had to follow the wiring from Ben’s perfect soldering and wire stripping example and make our own.
